Teen Sleep

The average teen needs 8-10 hours per sleep per night. That doesn’t mean 8 hours of sleep is enough for any given student. While one teen might function great on 8, another may need a full 10 to function at his or her best. And sleep duration isn’t the only thing that matters. The consistency and quality of sleep matters too. Teens also tend to naturally stay up later than the average small child or adult due to a shift in their circadian rhythms that happens during the teen years.
