It may not come as a surprise that sleep deprivation has an impact on judgment. After one night of poor sleep, people are often aware that their performance is impaired. Interestingly, though, as sleep deprivation continues over several nights or more, people not only to continue to see a decline in performance but they also lose awareness that their performance is impaired even as it continues to get worse.
